Knox Church, cnr of Bealey Ave & Victoria St. Backdrop for TV1 coverage this evening, the building was damaged on Sept 4, but basically all of what you see is a result of the intensity of this week’s quake.

Durham St Methodist Church. The scaffolding and bracing was put there after Sept 4. It did nothing to save the lives of three men who were performing the noble task of removing the church’s enormous pipe organ when this week’s quake struck.
Fitzgerald Ave by the river. Rapid progress being made on repairing this main arterial route. Plenty of practice with this earthquake shit.
